Shade the Stop Tree Planting Demo

The Greening Bus Stops Alliance — a partnership between RVA Rapid Transit, the Cool the City coalition, GRTC, and the Office of Equitable Transit and Mobility is working to “shade the stop” at some of the 403 bus stops in the city that have one or more vacant tree wells. During Richmond Tree Week in November 2025, the Greening Bus Stop Alliance hosted a tree planting demo at bus stop #3667 at the corner of Fairfield Avenue and Kane Street.
