Hosted by Virginia Interfaith Power & Light
Virginia Interfaith Power & Light is giving away free trees on September 12 to residents living in Jackson Ward, Northside, Southside, East End, Church Hill, or Randolph as part of our Cool the City campaign to reduce extreme heat in the city’s hottest neighborhoods.
By planting trees at your residence or business, you can help cool your block, improve air quality, reduce flooding, and make your neighborhood healthier and more resilient.
Join VAIPL and Cool the City on Saturday, September 12, at the TMC Community Hub any time between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to receive a free tree and learn how to take care of it through a tree maintenance workshop. This event is free and open to the public, but advance registration is requested.
